Movie Review: “B5” and “American Woman” - Cynthia Flores returns to About Towne with two new films: B5 and American Woman. B5 is a documentary that focuses on the first center created specifically to treat AIDS patients, in San Francisco, at the beginning of the AIDS epidemic. Interviews with doctors, nurses and patients as well as extensive historical video and film resources give shape to the film narrative that explores the courage of the people involved amid the social turmoil of the time. American Woman is a new independent drama starring Sienna Miller. When her teenage daughter disappears, a small- town mother is forced to come to terms with her life, past and future.
