About Towne June 15, 2016 - On this edition of About Towne, we preview Lyric Stage’s production of “Anything Goes” at the sitzprobe rehearsal.  We meet two Irving chefs participating in the 2016 City Men Cook and we have an update of the University of Dallas.  Jackie Madden brings us the details on the City’s Independence Day events and the Juneteenth Celebration, “The Sound of Legends.”  We also talk with Angela Thorpe-Harris and Ashlee Jackson about the Irving Black Arts Council’s annual short film festival.  And Scott Churchill returns to the show with a review of the horror flick “The Conjuring 2” and a preview of “Beautiful: the Carole King Musical” onstage at the Winspear Opera House.  Oh, and the community calendar and some other stuff.  For more information on ICTN, visit http://ictn.tv
