MainStage Irving/Las Colinas presents “The Heiress” - MainStage Irving/Las Coliinas presents Ruth and Augustus Goetz’ Tony Award winning drama “The Heiress.” Based on a short story by Henry James, the play is set in the wealthy Washington Heights neighborhood in mid-19th century New York City. It serves as an opulent backdrop for the story of Catherine Sloper, a wealthy but socially awkward young woman who is courted by a man her father believes is only after her inheritance. Runs January 16-31 in the Irving Arts Center Dupree Theater.
