High School Art Show 2018 - Have you ever wondered why “The Arts” are important? It’s not because they are an outlet or opportunity for people who are not athletes or fans of sports events, it’s because the arts make everything better – even when you don’t notice. In fact “The Arts” may be at their best when you don’t notice. For example, watch a movie with no music. You will talk about it at the end. Then watch a horror movie that uses music to its’ best effect, to build mood, or provide that final sting to scare or startle you. Everyone talked about the theme from “Jaws” for good reason, just like we are talking about “The Quiet Place” now. And here’s another example, go to a football game and enjoy the show, the whole show. Are the teams uniforms cool? Can the dance team/cheerleaders put on a show? Thank you “The Arts’. So now to this story. It’s about the development of “The Arts”. It’s about kids in school learning about it, being recognized for doing it well and someday, in some way you did not even notice at the time, they may contribute to a better experience for you.
