Quanah Exhibit at the Irving Arts Center - I have heard the life of Quanah Parker and his mother Cynthia Ann Parker described as the american version of “Les Mis” (thanks, Larry Gatlin). Once you know the details, you realize that it is a fair assessment of their story. Now, with Lyric Stage presenting the world debut of “Quanah”, the Irving Arts Center presents a neat little exhibit of photographs, papers, memorabilia and historical items related to Quanah Parker, his mother and their times. The Arts Center also recently hosted an artist’s talk featuring Quanah’s great-great-grandson Lance Tahmahkera. ICTN was there and this is the story. This story originally aired in About Towne, our arts and entertainment magazine show. For more stories like this one, watch About Towne on ICTN. For more information on ICTN, visit http://ictn.tv
