International Quran Competition - Irving’s own Idris Nawaz captured the coveted first place title in the International Quran Competition in Qatar, an annual contest that draws thousands of competitors from all over the world.  Nawaz and fifth-place international winner Ahmed Ali were greeted by their classmates and families at DFW International Airport when they returned to the US.  About Towne’s Susan Kamyab was there.
