Heritage Society Fish Fry 2019 - Despite the possibility of bad weather, the Heritage Society held their annual fish fry in Heritage Park recently. And, despite the threat of bad weather, attendance was expected to be 500 to 600 people. With numbers like that you need to fry a lot of fish and that is exactly what the Heritage Society folks did, and potatoes…and green tomatoes…and SPAM? Well, I’ll try it, but you better pass the ketchup. So while I’m waiting for ketchup, I will add that the whole event helps raise funds for a good cause and it brings the people of Irving together so they can bond over good food like fried fish and…Spam.
