Ms. Mature 35th Anniversary Celebration - The Ms. Mature Irving pageant has been celebrating senior women in Irving for nearly 35 years! In fact, the pageant coming up this fall will be the 35th ANNUAL event. Allow me to make this point more emphatic – the Irving Parks and Recreation Department and the Irving Senior Center have been crowning a new Ms. Mature Irving for more years that many of you have been on this fair Earth. That’s pretty awesome! It gets even more wonderful when you meet these women, both the winners and their fellow contestants. They are so kind and gracious (in the classic sense) and represent the City of Irving so well. Not long ago, a group of past winners hosted a gathering to honor former Ms. Mature Irving participants. It was fun and touching and just… perfect, because whether they wear the sash or not, they are all Ms. Matures. For more stories like this one, watch About Towne on ICTN.
