Irving Doll Collectors 45th Anniversary - Where were you 45 years ago? I was 11 years old and I didn’t have a klew. Aerosmith released their first album that year. The Miami Dolphins completed the only “perfect season” in the NFL that year. President Richard Nixon began his second term, comet Kohoutek was discovered, The Godfather won an Oscar, the first mobile phone call was made, all in 1973. Skylab launched, the Supreme Court issued a decision in Roe v. Wade, Secretariat became the first Triple Crown winner in 25 years, the DEA was founded, Watergate continued throughout the year and Lite Beer was introduced by Miller Brewing Co. Locally, the Doll Collectors Club of Irving became a thing. Earlier this month they celebrated their 45th anniversary; ICTN was there and Susan Kamyab has this report.
